Audi A6 Typ 4G: Tail Lamp, Removing and Installing
Tail Lamp, Removing and Installing, Sedan
- Turn the light switch to position "0".
- Remove the cover -2- from the tail lamp assembly in direction of -arrow A-.
- Remove the bolts -3- and -4-.
- Swivel the tail lamp assembly -1- toward the outside in direction of -arrow B- and loosen the bolt from the clip nut.
- Disconnect the connector.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
- Position the tail lamp -4- assembly on the body and push the bolt into the clip nut.
- Insert the centering pins -2 and 3- and tabs on the cover -1- into the mount and into the tail lamp assembly -arrows-.
- Push the cover onto the tail lamp assembly.
- The tabs must audibly engage in the tail lamp assembly.

Removing
- Turn the light switch to position "0".
- Remove the cover -2- from the tail lamp assembly in direction of -arrow A-.
- Remove the bolts -3- and -4-.
- Swivel the tail lamp assembly -1- toward the outside in direction of -arrow B- and loosen the bolt from the clip nut.
- Disconnect the connector.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
- Position the tail lamp -1- on the body and push the bolt into the clip nut.
- Insert the centering pins -3 and 4- and tabs on the cover -2- into the mount and into the tail lamp assembly -arrows-.
- Push the cover onto the tail lamp assembly.
- The tabs must audibly engage in the tail lamp assembly.
